North Kingstown Free Library, RI - LIBRARY INTERN
Temporary Part Time 10-13 hours a week
RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs direct and indirect public service at three service desks: Circulation, Reference/Info Services, Young Readers in a busy public library. This includes checking materials in and out of the library, unpacking and packing daily inter-library loan deliveries, answering reference questions, teaching patrons to use computers and other library resources, helping patrons find books and other materials in the library collections, re-shelving materials.
QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must be enrolled and taking courses in the University of Rhode Island GSLIS Master’s program and be in good academic standing in the program.
HOURS
10-13 hours a week with evenings and weekends required as part of the work schedule.
SALARY $13.00 per hour
