Reference and Instruction Services Librarian--Bay Path College,MA
Description & Duties:
Bay Path College Library seeks a creative Reference and Instruction Services Librarian with a strong commitment to public service. This full-time position coordinates the planning, development, implementation, and assessment of reference and instruction services.
Responsibilities include
- providing traditional and electronic reference services;
- coordinating the information-literacy program;
- designing and teaching course-integrated and class-related classes in information literacy;
- helping to create and maintain the Hatch Virtual Library;
- collaborating ith faculty; and supervising part-time reference and information literacy ibrarians.
Qualifications:
- an MLS from an ALA-accredited program,
- reference and instruction experience in an academic library,
- knowledge of nline databases and Internet resources,
- experience creating Web pages, amiliarity with trends in information literacy instruction and curriculum esign, administrative and supervisory experience,
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and willingness to work one evening a week and some Saturdays.
